ITC Statement on Passing of AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka

President Trumka devoted his life to working people, as the voice of America’s labor movement.

Washington, DC – The AFL-CIO Investment Trust Corporation (ITC) joins the entire labor movement in mourning the passing of AFL-CIO President Richard L. Trumka. President Trumka Richard Trumkadedicated his life to working people and knew firsthand what a good union job could mean to a family. President Trumka worked tirelessly to further the values of the labor movement and understood the importance of harnessing workers’ power for change.

“President Trumka led the AFL-CIO with intensity, compassion and ferocity. He woke up every day committed to making a difference in the lives of millions of working Americans. His passion extended to his support of the AFL-CIO’s branded investment products—a legacy which we are dedicated to carrying on in his memory,” said Randy Kinder, President, AFL-CIO Investment Trust Corporation. “I am proud to have called him a mentor and a friend.”
